Tagging into Art

There seems to be an ever increasing space made available to urban art – on the sides of cafes, public housing and in laneways. Nonetheless the vexatious tagging seems worse than ever. Council’s rapid response team is good for home owners but what about all the properties that are rented and the public utilities like post boxes and Vic Roads exchanges?

Could some of the public utilities be made into art forms? Some of them now have been.
Couldn’t the supposedly ‘green’ boxes used in mail delivery be painted by local arts? Can’t the heritage post box and lamp posts be maintained, perhaps by the people who have been caught tagging?

Any other ideas? Let us know.
Good at Graffi, and mindful of where it should go…then knock your-self out ! go for it.
